National Workplace Investigations Investigation Services

National Workplace Investigations has the ability to manage the entire investigation process. This enables clients to concentrate on their business, knowing the investigation and importantly the complainant, witnesses and person subject to the allegations are being considered, respected and appraised of the progress of the investigation.

An overview of a typical investigation may include triaging the issues regarding the complaint, obtaining a statement (written or electronically), preparing letters of notification for the person subject to the allegations, identifying and ethically pursuing lines of enquiry, identifying the allegations, drafting allegations letters and conducting interviews with those subject to the allegations. National Workplace Investigations can undertake part or all of the requirements.

National Workplace Investigations completes a detailed investigation report that fairly balances the evidence gathered and adjudicates on the outcome of the investigation. Where required, National Workplace Investigations will provide recommendations.

Our investigators utilise best practice investigative methodologies when conducting investigations. We ensure investigations are conducted in a procedurally fair manner and are consistent with workplace guidelines such as the Australian Government Investigation Standards, Australian Public Service Commission Handling Misconduct Guidelines and the respective Ombudsman’s recommended best practices.

National Workplace Investigations Code of Conduct

Code of Conduct

A code of conduct is a document written for employees which identifies the required standard of behaviour and informs the employees of an organisation’s expectations. Depending on the organisation, an employee may have acted or represented the organisation in such a way that is alleged to have breached the code and an investigation may be required to determine whether their actions did amount to a breach of the organisational code of conduct.

Procurement & Contract Fraud

Similar to workplace fraud and corruption, procurement and contract management fraud can take many forms such as favouring a particular supplier for personal gain. This is not always from a monetary perspective: it can be to benefit a friend or may involve offering favourable advice during a tendering process.

National Workplace Investigations Harassment & Bullying In The Workplace

Harassment & bullying in the workplace

Even though many organisations put best practices in place, workplace harassment and bullying still happens. Workplace bullying occurs when a person engages repeatedly in unreasonable acts towards an individual or group of workers and the behaviour creates a risk to the health and safety of the individual subject of the act.

Fraud & Corruption National Workplace Investigations

Fraud & Corruption

Fraud can happen anywhere. We need to trust our employees, yet if we are not prepared for fraud in the workplace, it can be harder to spot when it does occur.   Monitoring movements of employees, business partners, or even competitors can sometimes be imperative for the collection of evidence when suspicious circumstances arise within a business.

Reportable Conduct and Reportable Incidents National Workplace Investigations

Reportable Conduct & reportable Incidents

Generally, each jurisdiction will have a reportable conduct and/or reportable incident scheme relating to child-related organisations and the disability sector. The oversight of these schemes is the responsibility of the Ombudsman for each jurisdiction.
