Jon Sleeman

As an experienced investigation, compliance, enforcement and protection practitioner and trainer, Jon Sleeman brings more than 20 years’ experience to National Workplace Investigations. With particular expertise in developing and refining compliance and enforcement approaches, conducting complex investigations, developing and applying risk-based approaches to regulation including child safe practices and protection. Jon is highly regarded as an expert in this specialised field.

With particular expertise in developing and refining compliance and enforcement approaches, conducting complex investigations, developing and applying risk-based approaches to regulation including child safe practices and protection. Jon is highly regarded as an expert in this specialised field.

For the past two years as an in-house Child Protection Officer, Jon works with a number of our clients investigating child protection matters, reportable conduct and workplace misconduct investigations. This includes liaising with the ACT and NSW Ombudsman’s as part of the reportable conduct schemes and Access Canberra and the Office of Children Guardian in relation to the working with vulnerable persons and working with children schemes.  It has also included developing Policies and Procedures and conducting training.

Since 2011, Jon has also been developing and delivering accredited investigation and compliance and enforcement training for various Australian regulators which has include delivering various training for different Australian Child Care regulators since 2013 and the NSW Office of Children’s Guardian and Access Canberra (WWVP Scheme). Further, Jon has expertise in developing operational procedures for various Commonwealth, State and Territory regulators including reviewing the compliance and enforcement procedures and developing investigation guidelines for regulators such as Access Canberra, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Transport Canberra and City Services and ACT, Tasmanian and NSW Child Care Regulators.
